What do you love about BC?

I will be attending BC CSOM next year unless I get off a couple of waitlists
from other schools. I live in Boston as an international student, and I know
how honor it is for me to get into BC. Only 8 students out of 23 applicants in our school
got into BC…lot of strong applicants from my class got rejections+waitlists

Anyways, I have been to BC once last year, and I was just enticed by the
beauty of campus and beautiful buildings.

What do you love about BC?
How’s the dining at BC (I heard it’s pretty good)?
Newton vs Upper?
How’s the music program at BC(especially accapella)?

At first the campus didn’t appeal to me, I felt it was cramped and enclosing a bit. However, after visiting a bunch (since its only about 40 mins from home) its really grown on me. I love all the little details you’ll find on the sides of the buildings and the architecture in general.

I’ve eaten at 2 BC dining halls, both were very good. And I apparently I haven’t even eaten at the one that is supposedly the best!

From what I’ve heard and seen, Newton is very much a community as its off on its own. However the travel makes it a bit burdensome. Since housing is random I’d say just be happy with what you get as you really have no say in the matter!

Can’t help with music sorry.

As for acapella, the groups are amazing!! There are something like six acapella groups (one male, one female, three coed, and one gospel). I really want to be in one of them, especially the Heightsmen (the all male group). However, they are all extremely selective. Approximately 3 out of 150 people make it each year for each group, so you have to be realllyyyy good. Auditions take place at the beginning of each semester. Good luck!

Thank you Kcombs and alanlip123

I was really curious about acapella and thank you very much for that info.
I do sing but I majorly do beatboxing. I was one of the top 16 beatboxer in Korea
and I am quite confident in doing beatbox. I really hope I make it
It sounds like you are already in BC and I hope both of us can make into a group.
Thank you very much again

my friend will probably be attending BC next year =) she got waitlisted at both georgetown and the school she really wants to go to, notre dame. her brother goes there in fact. if she doesn’t get off the waitlist for ND, she’ll be going to BC i think =)
