I was planing in taking either AP lit or AP stat for senior year. In your opinion, which class was easier and which do you recommend me taking? AP bio is another possibility but i highly doubt i will sign up for that class
AP Lit is a necessity at my school. Which other math class will you be taking?
Well for me is either AP stat or calculus. I’m still debating between lit or stat. I’m also taking AP psych
Don’t have experience with AP Lit, but AP Stat was very, very easy - I took it my sophomore year and did pretty well (I’m decent at math, but not a math genius). There’s definitely a lot less content than other APs I’ve taken, and pretty much everything is done in the calculator.
AP Stat is a fraction of the workload of AP Lit.

This is so strange. At my school, the majority of the class gets by in AP Stat with a low C, and all I hear is how tremendously difficult it is. Meanwhile, for AP Lit, no one really complains and the class is sometimes said to be very fun since both teachers are really wonderful.
Obviously the classes vary by school. Ask peers that have taken both classes. I don’t think it should be an either or. You could most likely take AP Lit, AP Stat and AP Psych and be fine.
AP Lit is the breaker. You enter as a pompous ass, and leave with your pompous ass handed to you in a neat package, with a complementary C+ attached. You never improve. There is no logic or reason behind the madness. The madness engulfs all, and to it, we are mere fodder for it’s endless and eternal proliferation.

WOW. I’m crying at foolish’s description. :'D It seems like the general consensus is that math is more enjoyable and easier than English on CC. Never would have thought.

There’s sophomores at my school that take AP Stats… Its really easy, and I might take it next year, sophomore year. I would take AP Calc and AP Stats to be honest. Depends on the rest or your schedule.
AP stat is really beneficial in helping you understand research methods and what kinds of studies are actually reliable rather than those that are totally misleading.
BUT if you’ve never taken ap lang or any very difficult, heavy-writing course, then take ap lit. You’ll be glad when it comes time to write essays (basically the rest of your life)
it takes 10000 times more effort to get a B in AP Lit than to get an A in AP Stat
thanks i think i will take AP lit. I plan to become a history teacher so all the practice in readin and writing essays could be more beneficial when having history classes in college.
