What do you think about this situation?

So, there's a kid in my class who's older brother is a teacher, and he has him for his Calc class (our school's size probably caused this to happen).

i don't mind either of them but the thing is, it almost seems like the kid enjoys boasting about his brother.. a lotttt. like bringing him up in conversations and reiterating how "awkward" it is, even though he seems rather amused by it. this isn't anything provocative about that, just annoying.

he's also told me, however, about how at home they'll make fun of students and laugh at their answers on assignments and stuff. alright it's home. when in the personal comforts of home they're probably more than obliged to do that. but i still think its a little weird.

or am I just the weird one? =o</p>

Its weird but there’s nothing u can do about it so don’t worry. it doesn’t directly affect u.

nice name btw

i agree, prolly shouldn’t trip over that stuff, but i would definitely be annoyed too

also any idea how you start a thread, like i can only comment on other peoples posts but i can’t make my own

I’m sure every teacher tells stories of funny/stupid things their students do. There are three pairs of married teachers at my school and I always imagine them sitting at the dinner table swapping tales.

As for the amused awkwardness, I mean, how would you feel if your brother/close relative was teaching one of your classes? I’d sure talk about it a lot if it was mine.

At our school, this would never happen. You can’t be taught by a family member. Actually, the thought of that is rather appalling. Favoritism anyone?

I’m sorry this does not add to the thread. But your name is Regina George from “Mean Girls”. You should add them to the “burn book”.
