I’m just a little worried because we are both high schoolers, and we act a certain way around each other and another way around our friends. I tend to be a little more uh … perverted … around my friends? I bet my brother is too, but I don’t want to find out :p.

I think you’re being ridiculous and over-dramatic. I’ve had several classes with my sister in the past years and I’m now a high school senior and she’s a junior. It’s not like you’re gonna be talking to your brother the whole class period anyways. It’s just the same class. It sounds like you’re worried about what people will think. But trust me, no one will care.

I think it’s different depending on the relationship you have with your sibling. I can understand how awkward and weird it would be, but if it’s a big class, you probably won’t even realize each other’s existance. Hopefully you both will have plenty of friends in the class.

Or you could ask your counselor to switch classes if it’s a problem?

haha my friend’s brother is the only APUSH/Physics teacher on campus so he had him. i’m just guessing it was pretty awkward…

My brother and I (a senior and a junior, respectively) have a class together and we don’t really talk at all. Honestly, it’s not an issue. Everyone’s focused on the classwork. No one cares that you and your sibling both happen to be there.

Last year I had a double math period, and my friend was in our class with her twin brother. It was fine and they both had their own friends. Sometimes they talked. Overall, it was… normal

lol - the consensus is that having siblings in the same class works :p. Thanks guys for the positive news. Hopefully AP Human Geo will work out with my brother, who’s going to be a freshman.

my friends are fraternal twins and they’re in the same class for one subject (only one, as despite the relatively small size of our school, their strengths and interests are lie in different places). she does find it kind of awkward and strange, as they haven’t been put in this type of situation since they were about ten, but otherwise they sit with their own friends and there’s no family drama in the class XD
