I'm currently in my last year of high school in Delhi. I'm considering applying to colleges in the United States and the UK, or rather have been for a while, but haven't been able to make a decision on whether it's worth it as I don't have a very good perception of my chances.

My school grades are singularly terrible, with an 8.6 GPA in the 10th standard, 68% in the 11th and 73% in my half-yearly exams, with my predicted marks for the boards averaging out to 86%. I've given the SAT I once, and scored 2070 (800 CR, 650 Maths and 620 Writing). I'm giving the SAT I again in November, and am confident of improving my maths and writing scores, as I gave it the first time without any prep.

Extra-curricular wise, I'm president of my school's computer club and have organized our state level computer competition for the last 3 years. I've also attended a few MUN conferences, and am a regular on the Delhi quizzing circuit, having won 34 quizzes in the last 3 years.

I'm curious as to what you guys estimate as my chances of getting admission in institutes like UIUC, UC-SD, Georgia Tech, U-Michigan or UNC-Chapel Hill for computer science related majors.
My dream college would be USC because of their combined CS+Game Programming courses, but I think that Viterbi would be a stretch given my bad grades.

On a related note, I'd also like to ask whether it's better to apply for a liberal arts or undecided major instead of Computer Science, because as I'm a Humanities student(with Maths and Computer Science however) I don't have any credits as far as Physics or Chemistry go beyond the 10th grade.

Be blunt, and thanks!

P.S. I should probably mention that my chances will probably be lowered by the fact that my school is hyper-competitive and my batchmates applying abroad are all applying to 10 or more colleges. Anyone who knows of DPS R.K. Puram will be happy to confirm this, I'm sure.
