<p>Basically do not listen to your GC. They are notorious for giving bad advice and saying students can’t do stuff. Heh… my dad’s GC wouldn’t let him take anything above basic, because he thought he was stupid, so finally his mother got the principal to move him up to regular. And then when my dad was applying to colleges… his counselor said he couldn’t really get into any schools. And my dad ended up getting into and graduating from law school.</p>
<p>Also… when a GC says “Don’t take foreign language”… that’s a BAD sign. ALWAYS take foreign language for at LEAST three years (8th-10th or 9th-11th). If you start in 10th grade… then you’ll have to take it 'til you graduate, and that type of thing can screw you over.</p>
<p>But yeah… I agree… you need to double in Geometry and Algebra II next year. It isn’t a bad thing. I have several friends who did it this year, and they actually did really well, just because they had double the practice in the day.</p>
