what do you think of my score?

I got a 2180 this time.
m: 780
w: 800
r: 600

But I have a 690 reading from octobers score so i have a 2270 superscored. Some of the schools im applying to are cornell, NYU, georgetown, tufts.

Normally I hate these “concealed brag” threads, but I feel like your case has legitimate concern. The 690 reading could indeed hurt your chances a little. Don’t get me wrong, your score is excellent. But if I were you I would do a lot of reading practice tests and, if you feel that you can improve, retake.

reading is difficult but u can improve
i started from 380(really) in 9th grade to 790 just now
here is exactly how to do so:

 1. memorize vocab
 2. understand the techniques to solving the questions
 3. eliminate as much ■■■■■■■■ **** as possible

What was your goal to begin with?

w/e… most of, if not all of my schools superscore so im satisfied. my goal was to just break 2200 with super score, but i went beyond it so im happy… and this was my last SAT so i dont even have another chance :(.

Silly collegeboard, must have mixed our scores by accident. I’ll happily take those scores off your hands =X

and im applying to the hotel schools for Cornell and NYU, so i feel my score is more than enough for those 2.

i got a 2190 and i’m very dissatisfied. if i were you i would DEFINITELY retake without a doubt. it’s up to you though.

^

A 2270, retaking without a doubt? I don’t feel rude saying “perfectionist”…those scores are fine anywhere.

Retake it and get higher in critical reading.

Can you people read? He just posted that this was his last chance.

Those scores are fine by the way

I recommend you make a sacrifice to retake the test. I don’t know what you mean when you say your previous SAT was your last one…I’m actually pretty sure at least one of those schools accept the January SAT.

Also, not to make you feel bad or anything, but I wouldn’t say those scores are exactly fine. 600 in reading is moderately-to-far below the score at the 25th percentile for those schools. The 25th percentile score for those schools according to the College Board website is somewhere between 610 (NYU) and 680 (Tufts). Also keep in mind Cornell does not consider the writing section.

You should def retake if you think you can bring CR to a 700 or higher.

All of those schools accept the January test date.

I have 490 reading score. Math/Writing between 570-600. Not great, but still much better then the reading part.
Is CR 490 an automatic disqualification? I’m worried that 500 might be the absolute minimum that colleges require and other scores would not even matter.
I’ve been trying to bring it up, but I’m getting 490 every single time.
So frustrating …
