<p>Well from what I've heard, HS class of '08 is "the biggest class in history," and after that the numbers start falling again. More people applying --> Lower percentage accepted...</p>
<p>It's not going to fall off that much. Go ahead and apply during your senior year- waiting, and then trying to get the letters of recommendations, class transcripts, etc can be a big pain. If you wait to apply until after your gap year, colleges are going to want to know why you took the gap, so unless you really accomplished something during the year, so you would need to have a good reason to give them. Wanting to increase your chances would not qualify as a good reason.</p>
<p>'13s are no different than '12s.
Although '12 is the biggest graduating class, acceptance rates of colleges won't really be affected by it.</p>
