Hi, I've chosen to go to UT Austin, but as an international student I don't know much about UT campus and what kind of like I would have there...

Can anyone studying there or living in Austin give me some information?

I live in Houston, but have been to Austin a few times and might go to UT next year. It’s definitely got a unique personality- “keep Austin weird” as they say there. It’s the only major city in Texas with decent views, but it’s pretty spread out, so a car would be handy if you want to get the full Austin experience, but the UT campus itself has plenty to do around it (at least as far as I had access to). And don’t forget your sunscreen.

Barbara: the one downside of UVa for accounting and business is there is no guarantee of being accepted into the McIntire Comm School. It is competitive for admissions, when you apply in the middle of your second year. Most people who don’t get into the Comm School become econ majors.
