For my college essay, I want to do the one about a place that is meaningful to you. I am thinking of either doing my father's hobby shop (which has been around for 3 generations) and how I have worked there and what I have learned. OR how I started a dog walking business, what I have learned and how I want to become a vet. Which topic do you think is better. Please help me! Thank you!

Your first idea seems to be more in keeping with the prompt. And, I think, provides more fertile ground for a good essay about who you are.

The second topic doesn’t fit with the prompt because there is no specific “place”. It might be good for another prompt, like how you became an adult or something. But I like the first idea and it seems like it would be very original to read :)

I think the first one would be more apt for you to write on. Good luck!

the 1st choice!

For the second topic is the place “walking dogs”? If so that is not a place so I would deff go with the first one.

If you really feel strong writing about the second one maybe you could pick a different prompt.

it is the first topic to be fitable.
