What do you want to be when you grow up?

Just post whatever you think you may want to do when you get older/ in college/ after college.

A US Foreign Service Officer and eventually, a US Ambassador.

I know, I dream.

Ruler of the world.

Awkward, I’m kind of the same as saman42…

Or some job in the UN, CIA, maybe an embassy in Japan…

Hmm…all the jobs in the world sound pretty cool, but I can’t imagine doing one for a decade, even less so for the rest of my life. It’ll get so monotonous after a while.

Well, that pretty much sums up a depressing future for me…-__-

sigh what takes up most of our waking time: first it’s school---->then moreschool>more school> prep for college>more school>job>job>job>retire>die

it’s so sad. there’s nothing to look forward to except for retirement. Maybe I should copy Thoreau and go frolick in the forest and become a hobbit…

Anthropology museum curator

Orchestral trombonist hopefully.
(My back up plan is singer/pianist… I don’t know which is more unrealistic.)

I can’t really see myself in an office job, and I don’t see myself ever not playing trombone, so the choice is suiting.

Lol with a screen name like Hatshepsut I’m pretty sure curating will be a perfect field for you.

astrophysicist :D

right now I want to contribute to aging research. I’m not sure how I want to do that yet, though.

Dream: A real life security analyst. I’ve seen it on a TV show once, and I thought it was amazing. Using fake IDs, uniforms, and charm, these people ‘break into’ banks and places that house high tech security items. This person then ‘steals’ it and reports to a meeting with the CEO or President of that bank/technology firm. They tell them of their security exploits and how to improve them, and obviously they get the information or money back.

Realistic Goal Job: A corporate executive in charge of the financial aspects of a cool company. Being something like the CFO of Porsche would be amazing to me. I like power and control, as well as handling money and making decisions.

Dream: A broadway musical performer! (:

Realistic Life: Bar-tending/waitressing in NY while auditioning as much as I can for shows. Most likely living on food stamps, but performing is what I love so I’m not gonna give up!

Supreme Court Justice! Definitely a long shot.

A professional dancer and chemical engineer.

Dream: governor of California
Realistic: Campaign manager, businessman, Or possibly mayor of a city or state legislator

A math teacher, although I’m not sure if I’d be able to execute as smoothly as I sometimes envision it in my head.

Neurosurgeon —> Political Analyst

Dream: Secretary of State (I know lol)
Expectation: Mayor, State Legislature, maybe Congressman.

Pediactric( or general ) Neurosurgeon

Honestly…? I’d love to be just a housewife
The world of work sucks.
Maybe I’d sell stuff online or blog and make money or something.

But as it is (for the time being at least) I will probably be a programmer or systems engineer or something like that. It’d be cool if I could work on top security high tech stuff for the government
I also am multilingual and love travel so working with international security would be the dream, or even a tech job that just sends me to a lot of conferences and whatnot
