What does AP Score Code 96 mean?

My D19 has code 96 for her Spanish AP exam. Does anyone know what that means? She received her two other scores and my S19 who took test at same time/day got his Spanish score.

The score is delayed for whatever reason. It happens to a few students here every year. Invariably, they receive their scores by the end of July.

did she ever get her score. WE still have not gotten our APUSH score

Chances are that they are missing some paperwork from the AP coordinator at the HS. As such a lot of times these things don’t get resolved until the AP coordinator comes back to work, whenever that is. What you might want to do is to call College Board, find out the issue and open up a case, then contact the AP coordinator and see if s/he responds in a timely manner.

Yes - she did get her score. Unfortunately, the code ended up being that the audio portion of her AP Spanish test was not scoreable - there was a problem with the recording. So they projected her score based on the parts they did have (written and multiple choice). She got a 5 but it will be up to the college to decide whether she gets credit. The score has a note attached to it saying audio portion not scoreable.

We still have not gotten my S’s score. i called the college board and they are absolutely no help. They want me to wait until Sept 1st. They said that since that unknown score is linked to his account, that they know the test belongs to him. I will contacf the person at the HS and try to find out if the college board ever contacted them. Next week all staff reports back and school starts in 1 1/2 weeks. We are on hold since this score will determine the next level of AP award, plus we cannot send his scores to colleges. just frustrated.

It’s unlikely the HS will know.

still nothing…(was hoping for Aug 1st maybe) i guess we wait until sept 1st, and then call again and will be told some story, which could have been resolved in July, but now its too late. My son put a lot of effort into APUSH and was probably the hardest of all his AP classes. If he gets a 3 or above it changes his AP award, and 4 or above, probably gives him AP credit. Sigh. That teaches us a lesson not to get any accommodations (he was allowed to type portions of his AP tests based on 504).

Did you contact the AP coordinator? There’s a paper that the proctor needs to fill out for people who are taking the test with accommodations. Chances are the paper wasn’t submitted or submitted without all the right information and needs to be resubmitted.

it showed up today!!! :). And he got a 4.
