I’ve emailed admissions, but I don’t expect anything back very soon and I want to see some of your opinions.

I’m currently a sophomore in HS. One of my top choices as of now is Barnard. I reside in Washington, and there is a program called Running Start. This is where your school district pays for you to take college classes for credits in both HS and college (you still get a diploma, and in certain cases you can get an Associate’s). It’s WA’s special version of dual-enrollment.

I’m not completely sure that the credits would transfer, but that’s not my main question. What does Barnard think of dual-enrollment, especially when compared to AP and/or IB? Would they consider one more rigorous than the other?
