I’ve recently started the college search as a sophomore in high school and came across Hillsdale which seems like a great school. I’m wondering what I need to do to stand out in the applications process two years from now. I currently have a GPA of a little over 4.0 weighted.
P.S. My school for some reason only offers only IB instead of the way more practical AP. The guidance counselors at my school in return sell the hell out of it saying that if you want to get into any selective school (Ex: Hillsdale) you need to go full IB. Is this a flat out lie in the case of Hillsdale at least or do I have to go full IB? Would partial IB still give me a good chance at this school.
