What does my practice SAT essay deserve?

<p>Please do not comment on the diction, lol. I'm well aware I used "shows" way too many times and I did not realize that until I got my score. I got a 10.
Jack from Lord of the Flies by William Goulding depicts how we need adversity to help us discover who we are by showing his true power wanting self when the boys get stuck on the island.
In Lord of the Flies, Jack is shown the be the leader of the choir. However, when Ralph gets the position to control all the boys on the island, Jack begins to show what he really wants. When the story progresses, hardships begin to question the character of the boys. The struggle for power between Ralph and Jacklyn causes the boys to go against each other which therefore creates problems such as not being to get food, having to hide from getting captured by the other boys, and not keeping an eye out for rescue. Because Jack begins to turn into a savage in order to gain power from Ralph, it shows how much he really wants control, thus showing who he really is. At the end of the book, Jack succeeds. Ultimately, he has taken all control virtually leaving Ralph alone to fight and are for himself after the cruel deaths of his friends.
The behavior Jack produces throughout the book show how the hardships created during the time stranded on an island helps discover who we truly are. His savage like behavior after murdering Simon and Piggy illustrate how much he wants the power. Instructing the boys to murder Simon thinking he was a beast show how much power he has gradually attained. To be able to control the little boys into attacking Simon wrongfully show his power wanting self, and the success he has gotten from it. As for Piggy, who was wrongfully murdered due to the violence shown in Jack’s side of boys, his power is shown. At the end, Jack shows to be a tyrannical savage after the events and hardships in Lord of the Flies.
