What does my school want?

Hi, I got accepted into Drew University. I paid the deposit.

On the admissions letter it says "Admission is contingent on successful completion of high school. We would also like you to continue your record of achievement and send a copy of your final transcript"

My take on it is as long as you graduate from high school with almost same grades as u have or better when you sent in your app, your in. Am i correct?

Im doing the IB diploma, im just worried about being rejected / offer revoked if i fail to complete the diploma... (Doing the exams now). So what happens if i dont get my IB diploma but I have a high school diploma?

Just don’t get any Ds or Fs.

You send them an end of year report (print off common app or their website). As long as you don’t get abysmal grades they won’t rescind your admission.

So as long as I receive a high school diploma with no failing grades I wont get rejected?

Im just worrying about hte IB exams… I didnt do well on 2 of the exams so far

correct. Drew sees you as a tuition paying student next year. You really need to screw something up to cancel that (Ds Fs and felonies – failing IBs or getting 1s on APs doesn’t rise to that level of concern)

Okay so as long as i dont get a D or F, I can still get in. Im trying really hard on my exams but I dont know how badly im doing. I just hope its enough to get my diploma. If not, hopefully my high school diploma will be enough.

You probably won’t have IB results by the time your school mails off your final transcript anyway. US universities don’t have the “conditional” admissions that UK ones do, so your IB exams scores technically don’t matter apart from placement/credit.
