American Universities and the IB diploma after admission

Hello all,

So I got into Northeastern University with the IB diploma but I have a bit of a concern. My predicted grade has been consistent with my semester grades in IB (32, it's not great but i'll take what i can get). However, due to multiple family issues (dying relatives), I haven't been focusing as much as a I could have on my IB exams and I am afraid to fail these exams as a result and get my admission pulled from under me. So, my question is, should I fail the IB exams and not get the diploma, will Northeastern University or any university in that same ranking directly pull my admission or will they first ask me what is going on, so that I can provide the reason. (or will they just not care?) Thanks :)

If your final transcript does not include your diploma results then you’re more than fine.

I’m pretty sure that our local high school does not list IB exam scores, or whether or not an IB diploma was granted, on student transcripts. Assuming this is typical–and I think it probably is–you have nothing to worry about.
