What does the Acceptance Package contain?

Does it contain a certificate and offical letter or what? I am just asking because I think it would be nice if I can hang up my certificate of acceptance.

What did ED or past admitted students get? At least a nice letter of admission that I can hang up?

lol. Thanks in advance.

w.e. they send u can hang on the wall if if it is just

Dear....congradulations.....

wat other schools are u applying to? cause it seems like we are both applying to many of the same schools (but i guess that is true for most on CC).

I am applyin to vandy(A&S) and Cornell (ILR) as well

Hate to say it, but Vandy's acceptance package wasn't that great. It was basically just a letter of congratulations and a bunch of other informational things / financial aid stuff. Hopkins sent this really nicely organized folder with a JHU car sticker, but nothing that exciting from Vandy.

I hate to say it but if anyone is unhappy because their school doesn't provide the "fluff" then it may not the be school they should choose. My daugther got her ED II acceptance two years ago. Thin, letter-sized envelope with indication either way...she opened and jumped 3 feet when she read accepted. They could have put a million dollar check in there and it wouldn't have mattered at that time. Best day of my life seeing her so happy to get in...then we just had to figure out how to pay for it! lol

Last year my son got in regular decision, and I thought the package was pretty good! It was a large envelope, which was sent priority mail that read "Congratulations" on the sticker. There was a large folder with lots of information on Vandy and information on revisit days.. I know kids who got in EA, and it was definitely a much better package then they got (I don't remember a car sticker though).

And yes, I think there was a pretty good letter in their welcoming you to the school, which I am sure do work quite well.

Plus last year you found out about JHU by email- which took them a few hours to send out (he got JHU too, but by then who cares what the package looks like, since you know if you are in or not).

Splintercell50, you are still posting? Looking for prestige and certificates and hoodies? Trying to establish that you are accepted at only the best schools and putting down everyone else? Havent you learned anything from the nastiness that you created on the Michigan board? I am still hoping that there are people from the schools to which you applied that read your posts and are offended enough to contact their admissions department.

Thought you would have learned your lesson and stopped posting. But you are apparently much too prestigious for that.

Dude I apologized for my misunderstanding on the other boards. I put that all behind me and most people accepted my apology. I think you should just accept my apology or just ignore me because this topic has nothing to do with prestige. I am simply asking what the package containes. No where am I insulting people or whatever.

Good God, why do people here get insulted at every little thing. Any negative comment about a school is taken as a personal attack.
