What does the term _______ mean?

<p>I know this is a pretty stupid question...but...What does the term "rising senior" imply?</p>

<p>you just finished your junior year.</p>

<p>(sometimes - for summer apps being filled out in like March, for instance - it just implies that you are a junior. so, basically, if you are a junior or just finished junior year, then you're a rising snr)</p>
