I received this letter a few days ago. It was sent by the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs on February 23rd. Any ideas on what it might mean? Did anyone else receive this letter?

@Word1238 I’m in your position as well. I live in the Bay Area so I don’t think the letter would take that long if I was intended to receive one. I keep looking on here and seeing people get letters and freak out.
Hoping and praying that it’s irrelevant to admissions!
To be honest, I don’t think this letter means much. I’d guess I’m in the middle of UCI’s applicant pool, so there’s no reason why I’d receive this letter and some of you guys, who are more qualified than I am, wouldn’t.
@Masterball o.O that is really weird… I had thought it was a likely letter, but I’m was told that everyone got one when I asked, so I don’t really know anymore…
So if some people didnt get it, is it a likely letter? Or is it more based on what you wanted to study/major? This is getting scary. No one told me it would be this stressful!
My daughter received the same letter. We were hoping it was some sort of indication of possible acceptance, or maybe not? Keeping hope alive! Good luck, everyone!
we all hope that it is some type of “likely letter” i keep trying to stray away from the wishful thinking of, why else would they remind students who were not accepted to check their portals often only to be rejected?
my daughter is trying her best to remain positive throughout it all…
The letter seems so generic. It reminds me of the emails i received after applying to universities in which they thanked me for my application. I don’t think you should worry if you haven’t received one.
@DPattt I agree it is very generic, but what confuses me is the fact that if this is a normal thank you for applying, why wait until so late in the application cycle to send it out? (I feel like I am getting obsessed now xD)
