Curious Kid,
I was contacted by Student Financial Services at MHC about missing fin aid documents before the Office of Admission even processed my application.

Curiouskid doesn't seem to be getting the message. One has nothing to do with the other, period! Tell your friend to get the missing paperwork in ASAP. Her getting admitted has nothing to do with her having missing paperwork. There is no SIGN. None. Zilch. Zero. Nada.

Blur, I realized that CG's posts took me back a few decades to a time when I was seizing upon all sorts of "signs" that a particular young lady did not wish that I'd simply drop dead or, failing that, simply evaporate from the realm of her existence, and that there was some hope of fashioning a relationship therefore.

This kind of reminds me of back in secondary school when girls would desperately drop the most ball-twistingly subtle hints to crushes, read hopefully into every response, and become frustrated and jaded when said boy was absolutely oblivious. When it comes to the admissions process, most colleges, like many boys, are usually pretty straightforeward. You just need to be too, and present them with all the information. That means, Curious Kid, get your/your friends/whoever's information in ASAP.

yea... i guess you guys are right... it's just that I've been a little disillusioned by being overly optimistic about the situation... but that's just cos' this is one of my best frds and I know that she's been wanting this for such a long time, plus she's such a hardworking student with even better stats than me (and I got in last year) so I'll feel really bad if she doens't.... :(
