Fortunately, we made it to grandma’s 90th bday party too this summer. But I agree with your sentiment. I absolutely want him to blow something off and just be a kid lots this summer. On the other hand, he is a lot like me - the road to boredom is very short…and then we are miserable. But I wish he could completely detach from anything academic for the summer; read some science fiction instead of science.
