What does your status page say?

i have a friend that goes to UD... she likes it... all i have to say is that if i don't get accepted and have to go to tulane... i will cry every day of my life...haha but nickel you don't know yet so just keep a good attitude... you've done all you can for basically your life... so stay pos. dont stress,

I think I will be fairly upset if I don't get into USC. I mean, I have some other schools I applied to that are more selective, but I knew I wouldn't get in. I just wanted to apply because I felt it'd be a waste not to try. I have zero chance if I don't apply, but a .00000001% chance if I do. xD I've been trying to keep my hopes as low as possible. That way, even if I end up going to UD, I won't be as upset. I hope for the worst. I haven't gotten a single acceptance or rejection yet, but I'm just preparing myself.

where all did you apply?

Stanford, Yale, Columbia, USC, Boston U, NYU, University of Dallas.

fun stuff...

We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st.
Status last updated: 2/14/1008 3:52:49AM

By the way, the "last updated" thing is total BS. Yesterday it said that they want to see midyear grades, now they claim that the status was updated two weeks ago.

Any suggestions how to read these latest tea leaves? A wild guess would be
"Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee" = chance for admission decision with the second wave that is supposed to go out early March
"Require no additional information at this time" = sit tight, you are not hearing from us in early March

GroovyGreek i hope your right cuz my status just changed to " Your application is being reviewed " and i cant wait to hear from them

We have received and are currently reviewing your application. We recommend you check here occasionally for an update on the status of your application.

Update!!! I've been checking 2-3 times daily since like forever..

Has any east coast applicant's (especially PA and NJ) status changed to the currently reviewing ur app one yet? I'm getting worried...mine is still stuck on prelim review.

Don't worry, mine hasn't changed yet either.

I guess all we can do is wait.

Jersey here, no change yet.

same, im from jersey and my status hasn't changed

Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.

If you guys are worried about whether your stuff has been received or not, check out the alternate status check page, which I find to be more comprehensive. I used to log in and check on the application page.

They recorded everything I've sent them. It recorded that they've received my mid-year report twice (the one online and the one mailed from school). They even recorded receiving my "Student Correspondence," my fax that updated them on things I've done!

still in preliminary review since mid-december.

:(

My status hasn't changed yet either. Oh well. Another round of waiting coming up...but hopefully, we won't have to wait too long.

do you think it makes a difference which status you received? Either the one that says they don't need any more info and applicant will be notified by April 1......or is it better to have gotten the one that says it has gone to admission committee and to call if you haven't heard by April 11?

QuixoticRick, if I sent my mid-year report (online submission only), should it be listed on that page you posted? It lists my FAFSA documents and nothing else. I also sent my grades in at the beginning of the month. Perhaps I need to send them by mail also?
