<p>My status has said preliminary review completed since December 19. I had to do a supplemental app and portfolio for Roski that was due in January, but I'm thinkin my goose is cooked. Anyone else been in preliminary review that long?</p>
<p>My status updated on 2/28 with "The committee is reviewing your application...". Does this mean anything? Should I worry that it updated so late?</p>

<p>rainmama - okay, I'll play - haha. I'll see your 13 and raise you SIX. Yep, d's app has been in preliminary review since Dec. 6th. We, too, are in the wild west, so I don't believe this has anything to do with being on the east coast as has been discussed in other posts...This whole process has been extremely confusing as she has everything in order, so to speak. Ah well, I guess we wait!</p>

<p>Was anyone is this wave of admissions asked to submit midyear reports? With the exception of class rank, my D's stats are at or above those admitted in this wave (she is a hair outside 10% UW, 7% W), but she was asked for midyear grades, which we interpreted as not such good news.</p>
<p>I'm starting to think that the messages may mean something in regards to wave(s) of acceptances.</p>
<p>The people that are getting acceptances today (or have done so on Saturday) have had statuses of "is being reviewed" from early February, if I recall correctly. I'm assuming that those of us that have "is being reviewed" from middle of late February are going to get theirs sometime in the middle of this month. Those in preliminary review are most likely in later batches or may be spring admits.</p>
<p>well if you're being rejected, it'll keep on saying being reviewed cause USC does those last. so just because yours is "in review" doesnt mean you're accepted atleast i dont think so..</p>
<p>i agree with tr1p7s... although id like to believe my status as being reviewed means an acceptance, i dont think it does. at this point i think the difference between those who have the completed prelim review, we have everything we need, or adcom review may have some weight on when you submitted your app by? i sent in my application in early november, so it makes sense that i would have one of that later statuses. </p>

<p>acm, my D submitted for the Dec 10 deadline and everything she needed was submitted by mid-November. She was never asked to submit her mid-year grades, but she did anyway and her status has been on "completed preliminary review" since 12/19. however, we seem to be in the group of people from NJ that all have their status stuck at that point. not sure what the logic is, but we sure wish we'd get some good news soon. </p>
