But the date at the bottom hasn't changed. I think they got sick of us e-mailing, calling, and just bugging them. xD It must be a recent thing because I checked my status during fifth period today, which was around 1:30 PM in Central Time.

S's says "unable" right now. Before it was "preliminary review". So maybe change is happening, or how 'bout this: we're allotted a finite number of status checks, and we've all reached our limit!

I emailed my admissions counselor at USC and he said that less than 10% of the 36,000 applicants this year have heard anything...and that I need to be patient...this is torture!

Quote: less than 10% of the 36,000 applicants this year have heard anything...

well, i think he was trying to be a little bit tactful in that statement. 10% of 36,000 is 3600, which is half of the people they'll be offering admission to. Additionally, the people who have been notified have all been accepted. so basically, half the slots have been taken...

I just tried to check my online status of my app and it said it was unavailable to tell me right now. It was fine yesterday when I checked it. Are any of you guys getting the same message when you try to see the status of your application?

"unable to process the status of your application at this time" seems to imply nothing. Looks like they have locked out certain areas of the database.
I guess they are doing updates to the database.

Reason I am saying this: have got accepted and had status moved to "acted upon" on 3/5 and right now it says "unable to process"

So keep your fingers crossed and they would probably open it up again later today when they complete their updates... Goodluck!

Mine is the same as well, since 2/13: "Your app is being reviewed..." I'm guessing it's all the people who were in prelim review getting that error message.
