<p>makes me kinda worried, because it seems like a lot of people got their status changed to "currently reviewing" around this time, but mine just switched to "we recieved fall grades"...i hope that doesnt mean im most likely rejected. im from norcal, btw, and i know 2 people who got in so far...</p>

<p>Is anyone here from Southern California that hasn't received a letter in the mail today with "in review" status in February? I'm not asking about March. I'm trying to figure something out.</p>
<p>YES I live in SoCal and my status page says.....
" Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th." since 2/1/08. I haven't been accepted yet. Then again I applied to Annenberg for communications which supposedly takes a long time to give out their decisions, or I most likely just got rejected.</p>
<p>Me too. =/ I have the preliminary review before and now that. The date hasn't changed, though. Still Jan 17th.</p>

<p>quixoticrick, we are from socal and my daughter has been in the currently in review/april 1 status since 2/7. Four from her school have been admitted, 2 with scholarships (we are not in the scholarship race) but one is not going for sure (scholarship rec.) Any theories? My D is fine, i'm the one stressing!</p>

<p>Elizabethh, et al.: Check the thread where TheAjay and I post our theory; it's a bit of a read but it's necessary for us to provide context and what we've done to come to that conclusion.</p>
<p>People shouldn't think that the "reviewed by committee" status is bad, as that is the status of the first wave!</p>

<p>Well my D recieved her big envelope on Friday!!!! -ironically I was with my younger S at USC touring the campus when it arrived -- My D was also out of town and doesn't get back until Sunday night so she doesn't even know it's here --- and we have to wait until she gets home for her to open it!!!! </p>
<p>She applied to the School of Theatre - which means she auditioned in February and clearly the two departments needed to go through the admittance process - I assume some of the other departments must be the same.</p>
<p>To recap her status changes
Monday - received mid year grades (after I called and asked them to check because it had been like that for 3 weeks)
Tuesday - reviewing --
Wednesday - decision made ---
Friday packet received ---
We live in N Cal.</p>

<p>I agree there isn't a rigid pattern but there is too many similarities for it to be completely random. I believe there is some sort of pattern/trend.</p>
