you can't apply for housing before you're admitted right? how fast do the radisson hotel rooms fill up?

HAS ANYONE HEARD BACK FROM ENGINEERING!??????

lol

OMG! After months of checking my status, and with my status still stuck at currently reviewing, I finally got that awesome envelope welcoming me to the Trojan family WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

CLASS OF '12 :D

HAVE FAITH PEOPLE!

....i wish

You got it today? What does your status say?

lol....Nickel...check out the teensy weensy " ...i wish" at the end of that post

I also wanna know what s33d asked...can we send in the housng deposit before ur admitted....i really really want birnkrant...

Nope, I read their living at USC guide. It says you cant :( I want Radisson Hotel.

The hotel? That'd be pretty sweet. xD I love being in hotels.

^I don't see any teensy-weensy "I wish". What am I missing?

Nickel, s33d says he is in India, so that's why he would have already gotten it today. That confused me too at first. I thought, "wow. Mail delivery must be very early at his house!"

rofl its in invisible text, highlight his whole post

Meh. I'm off to play Last Chaos or maybe 9Dragons. Worrying about this is too much work.

Okay, so now I'm very confused.....We are still at "we have received" (finally got my d to check this morning...)No change since 2/10....I am very pessimistic, given that soooooo many people went straight to "we are reviewing your app" from preliminary review (and are we the lone NJ ones who didn't???).....I really wish they would just send rejections out along with acceptances.....(actually I kinda wish all the letters went out at the same time for ALL the schools....this is like Chinese H20 torture......)

Mind you, this is definitely more stressful for me than for my d.....I guess since I am the "planner" type; how can you make plans when you have no idea what's going on???

Don't lose hope rodney. Several people have reported receiving acceptance packages with that status. I've got it too.

Eessh I HATE this!

I'm still stuck on

"We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st."

:(

Well, it's either I get the possible acceptance letter today or have to wait another week of torture to see if I got in or not...

(I live 20 mins away from USC >_>)

elisa: FYI, my d is waiting on Annenberg as well....

ahhh elisaxbanana, same here! ):

Rodney, it's almost harder to be a parent than a student - the idea of our kids being disappointed is so depressing, isn't it? May daughter has been at "Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1...." since February 7 and I am feeling pessimistic as well, but trying not to let on!

make that 1 more (my daughter) for annenberg - but as rodney says, this seems almost as difficult for parents as some of the students on this board.

atleast usc is better than some other schools - BU for example are now saying that they are likely to post decisions only in the 1st or 2nd week of April but students are still expected to make a final decision by April 30th. That is not really giving us much time

Has anyone from SoCal gotten a package today, because I sure didn't?

cupksdad: what is your d's status? Curious if Annenberg has a different MO

There is no way that we will be waiting for BU if it's the 2nd week in April; we already have accepted student day visits scheduled....and add to that, they required CSS and FAFSA for merit based scholarships; I think that is basically off our list.....

Good news though; Newhouse decisions will probably be out next week......

The usc status still says "we are currently reviewing your app...."

We too have accepted student day visits scheduled in mid april & think that BU is off the list. However, it would be good to get Annenberg rather than send her off a couple of thousand miles.

Unfortunately, my daughter bailed on Newhouse in the last minute - too cold for a girl raised in California.
