<p>Do colleges care about which type of envelope you send recommendations and other materials in? Do they prefer envelopes from your school or just regular ones?</p>

<p>They don't care- just be sure to print legibly, include a return address, and put the proper postage on it. (And make sure all the forms are included--and signed!) Good luck!</p>
<p>Stanford, however, does require certain large-sized manila envelopes for all the submissions--so double check their instructions carefully.</p>
