An IBO sample questions document stated that there would be...
cells (20%)
plant anatomy and physiology (15%)
animal anatomy and physiology (25%)
ethology (5%)
genetics (20%)
ecology (10%)
biosystematics (5%)
But people have said that I ought to read the ENTIRE Campbell book to be prepared.
I was wondering if the following categories are covered in USABO (Campbell book sections):
Bacteria and Archaea
Protists
Fungi
Introduction to Animal Diversity
Invertebrates
Vertebrates
----I was thinking that plant/animal form and function would cover the animal/plant sections. Does it? Or do I need to know animal/plant diversity/classification in depth?

Everything in the Campbell book is covered, along with some stuff from Raven’s Plant Biology and Albert’s Molecular Biology of the Cell. So yes, you would need to know that in depth (possibly more than what’s covered in the Campbell book).

You basically need the whole textbook memorized, it’s kinda crazy…There’s a thread in the sciences forum that’s quite helpful if you want more information.
