What exactly is Oxford College?

I was rejected from Emory (RD) and I just got a packet in mail from oxford college. It says 20% of freshmen class are admitted to oxford and after two yrs of studying at Oxford, you will be automatically transferred to Emory college. and it also say you may complete your degrees in Nursing , business and liberal arts. Are those only fields I can study after transferring? I'm so lost rite now. Can anyone give me some advice?

yea, i got the same thing too, can someone please explain??

I'm most likely attending Oxford College. I was worried at first, because I pretty much have the brains to go to Emory College, but i'm pretty lazy and slacked off terribly my junior year (in Physics+Math)-- leading to my rejection from Emory Univ. However, after visiting Oxford, i realized i could put up with the 2 yrs just to go to Emory my jr and sr yr, b/c once i visited Emory Univ, i was OBSESSED. i need to go there, it's amazing. just my opinion, though. oxford is really small.. but it's really pretty, and i think it'll give me a new experience. i thought, b/c of the low requirements, that Oxford wouldnot be competitive (as I come from an extremely competitive high school)... however, after speaking to some kids at oxford, many got into Emory and picked Oxford instead--- that made me feel better. lol.

I'll be at oxford in the fall... It has a lot of benefits to attending there as a freshman (small class sizes, availability of professors, etc), that I will be able to appreciate intellectually. However, I also know that I will be anxious to be at the main campus since I am absolutel in love with it.

how easy is it to get into oxford?

Its kind of like a junior college....really just a miniature Emory. Oxford is much easiar to get into than Emory.
