Is it a double?

Quad=4, so like four people in a room. i got the same thing.

me too!!
add me in facebook

oh my god. i dont want to live with 3 other people.

a quad means
the center room is a study place which is connected to two rooms
both rooms are doubles. so you only have a roommate
but the other two are in a room across the study place. look at the pic in this link.
[Living at Cal - Bowles](http://www.housing.berkeley.edu/livingatcal/bowles.html)

yea, bowles is all male, which kinda blows, but is easily the spaciest dorms at Cal. There are 3 rooms, one large common room where your desks are, and two smaller side rooms where the bunks are. Bowles is also on the east side of campus, very quiet (except for woman’s field-hockey in the wee hours of the morning!), and is good if you are a science/business major. They also have the best pool table on campus!

Aren’t all rooms in Bowles quads? This shouldn’t be that surprising if you put it as one of your choices then

i guess it wont be that bad…but man no girls?!

i got bowles as well. It was my first choice.

the spacious rooms and the castle thing kind of makes up for it.

can anyone tell me the bathroom situation at bowles? i figure its all guys so the bathrooms wont be that nice.

i read its horrible. I hate hate hate bad hygiene.

read the similiar threads at the bottom. Its there.

There are a few unique rooms in Bowles.
There are two triples which have a three-bed side room and a common room
There is one double
There are three non-RA singles

One of said singles is for the Program Coordinator and the rest of those special rooms are reserved for mentors (returning students who choose to come back to Bowles)

it is not true. Bowles isn’t the cleanest, but it is FAR from the worst.

what does the RH stand for…resident housing?

lol just wondering –> what’s the dirtiest dorm?

in summer 08 session C I lived on an all-male floor in Unit 2 Griffiths Hall, and it was disgusting.

^ that sounds very similar to what im staying in this summer… :O

The interior of bowles hall resembles a prison. I served time there in 1996-1997. If you get assigned to bowles, go find an apartment. If you still would like to try bowles this year, i guarantee that you won’t want to return to bowles next year.

There are 30 continuing residents who are choosing to go back to Bowles next year on their own accord. 15.625% of the residents of the hall next year will be Bowlesmen who choose to come back. There are a few people who have chosen to come back to Bowles for all four years.

Care to elaborate how it was disgusting? Was it because conditions there were squalid by default or was it the all male environment…

Why’d Griffith’s sucked: people pee’d on the seat frequently, one time I saw **** on the toilet seat, one toilet stall was clogged by toilet paper EACH AND EVERY DAY

Bowles may not be the absolute cleanest place (that would probably be an all-girls suite or floor somewhere else), but it is by no means the worst.
