so my school isn't the most supportive school in the world when it comes to extracurriculars and widely-known clubs, ie. DECA, FBLA, JSA, HOSA, etc. I'm thinking of founding/helping in founding DECA, FBLA, and JSA before I graduate.
we have key club, mock trial, and debate that's about it.
all other clubs are small or fun clubs like pokemon club and burrito club.

so i'm wondering.
what extracurriculars are you in?
if possible, can you put the years you were in it?
outside extracurriculars count too :P
thanks!

burrito club orders burritos and eats. sometimes they cook their own burritos and learn how to wrap it.
they try variety of burritos.
i think its a pretty useless yet fun club.
im looking for clubs that i might be able to found that are actually education related.

Um. I am part of the varsity tennis team and speech and debate. I’m part of the Improve Troupe and act in plays. I am an ambassador and leadership positions of many volunteer/community service type groups. I’m the co-founder and co-president of a Screenwriting club. I’ve done everything listed for my freshman and sophomore years (currently a sophomore), except for the screenwriting club. I started that this year.

In order of descending importance/enjoyableness:
DECA
Invisible Children Club
Newspaper
National Honor Society
Yoga Club
French Club
French Honor Society
I want to found an HPAlliance at my school, but I’m afraid we’d get harassed. :/

Environmental Science Club (officer!)
Key Club
Mentoring
Class Council
Habitat 4 Humanity
French NHS
NHS

I want to quit H4H though, because their main fundraising is from begging relatives for money, which I dislike, but all the other effing clubs have taken all the good ideas. Ugh

We have an HPAlliance at my school :3 There are 75-ish members, it’s pretty popular. They’re organizing a Quidditch team, A Midnight viewing, and they already had a Yule Ball. It’s pretty fly

My EC’s are (I am a freshman): JSA, Scholastic Bowl, Yearbook, Reusable Bag Promotion Club, Model UN, Winter Musical, editor for Polyphony H.S, Newspaper, and Ethics Club.

Future Doctors of America
Environmental Club
Cancer Fundraising Club
Key Club
Athletes for Charity
Boy Scouts of America
Photography Club
Volunteering at local hospital
Lacrosse

I have to chuckle at the massive strain a majority of the students on this forum put themselves through with extracurriculars. I can tell that most on here just do extracurriculars to add another thing on their shopping list of an application.
As for myself? I’m a sophomore, and right now I’m a prominent member of my Thespian troupe and the vice president of PeacePals, an international communications effort. I could join more, except
Being one of the most involved drama people at my school requires 3/4ths of your schooldays staying after school until 4:30-7. I do it because I love it.
I don’t want to waste my time with activities I don’t enjoy doing.

Certain extra curriculars aren’t taken seriously at my school. This leaves me with a plentiful amount of free time. For example, last year I joined math league and was the captain for one of the two freshman teams. At my school, math league only meets once every month which is great for me because I have the captain position and spend minimal time actually being w/ the team.
