<p>I was just wondering what after school clubs, sports, community service, and competitions(debate,forensics,etc.) that you guys do since there are so many out there?</p>
<p>Hmm, I play tennis. I’ve got tournaments in the off season, matches in season. This answer was probably not what you were looking for.</p>

<p>Used to play soccer and lacrosse for the school.
Now I just do track, JSA, photography club, Medical club, 2 jazz bands, perussion ensemble.</p>
<p>I’m the captain of a city-wide rugby team.</p>

<p>I also am the president of the debate team and am involved in an organization that handles charitable contributions. So not just sports haha.</p>
<p>I meant that a lot of people play sports…debate seems interesting…</p>
<p>Oh ok haha. Yes, debate is definitely interesting. It has been one of my favorite parts of high school.</p>
<p>Debate is very exciting…did you just sign up for the club and go to the competitions, or did you have to “try out”?</p>
<p>At my school anyone can join. Typically, the best on the team are given precedence when competition spots are limited.</p>

<p>I am the treasurer for my class, I do publications for my Key Club, I write poetry for my schools poetry magazine, I started a Harry Potter Club (Nerdy but I love it!), I am in a program that mentors little kids who don’t have a good home life, I write papers for my Model UN, I’ve been in musical 2 years (I’m a sophomore btw), I did mock trial last year but I don’t have time this year and I used to do juggling club, but I was never very good. I’m thinking about doing tennis because a friend asked me but I’ve never played although I love badminton( that’s like the same right?) I feel like I’m forgetting some others but maybe not.</p>
<p>I’m in Peer Advocates, GSA, & Jazz Band. I was also in Winter Guard until a week or so ago, and I’ve been taking piano lessons since 7th grade.</p>
<p>The form of debate I do, Public Forum, deals with resolutions. This month we are debating a resolution dealing with whether or not Birthright Citizenship should be abolished. Last month we discussed whether or not a college education is worth the costs. Next month we are debating a topic pertaining to whether or not the US should provide foreign aid to Pakistan. So we debate fairly interesting topics!</p>
<p>I am also on debate - we do extemporaneous debate.
Furthermore I go to math team every week, and occasionally do community service after school.</p>
<p>Karate, work, chess (club and varsity matches), youth symphony, lessons, and soccer.</p>
<p>I’m huge into Theatre at my school. I’ve had some part in every play we’ve done in the past four years except 2. I act in plays, and for musicals I usually am somehow involved in the technical aspect. I am stage managing our spring musical this year, Into the Woods. I’m also co-vice president of the Drama Club.</p>
<p>I’ve been the president of our small but active Debate Team for the past 2 years. My main event is Student Congress.</p>
<p>I am the treasurer and secretary of my school’s Gay-Straight Alliance club.</p>
<p>I am a member of the Academic Team, we compete against the other 10 high schools in the county. I am captain of the Social Studies team. We just recently had a huge upset over a school that almost always beats us, so we’re hoping to make it to the finals this year.</p>
<p>I am member of our school’s chapter of the NC Teen Democrats. I have volunteered on the campaigns for local politicians. </p>
<p>I am also a member of the Book Club, Chess Club, and the Humanities Club.</p>
<p>This year I’ve been a Senior Ambassador, so it’s my job to give tours to rising 9th graders and their parents and let them know that public high school isn’t as scary as they think. </p>
<p>Outside of school, I am a Boy Scout. Within Scouts, I am a member of the Order of the Arrow, a Scouting honor society dedicated to cheerful service to others. I do a lot of community service with them.</p>
<p>I occasionally do tech work with community theatres in the area. When I can’t do that, I’ll sign up to usher or sell concessions. </p>
<p>I volunteer at the county Humane Society, but I haven’t been doing it much recently, too busy. </p>
