what grades get you rescinded from Stanford?

Would B’s get you rescinded if you had previously been a straight A student?

I’ve been wondering this as well…I’m assuming that the answer is no; it would be a bit ridiculous imo. Anyone care to shed some more light on this?

Call up the admissions department and ask them.

@mkm888 and @DL43516 a few Bs here and there will not get you rescinded. Chillax and have some fun B-)!

Be advised that although a few Bs will not get you rescinded, the admission office may send you a warning letter asking you to explain yourself if you had never gotten a B and then suddenly got one in the first or second semester of your senior year. Such a letter is nothing to be concerned about, but you would need to write them back should you receive one. I know this because several people in my class received one.

I would actually go so far as to say that even Cs wouldn’t get you rescinded. In general, rescinding makes Stanford look bad, so the worst that could happen is you would be asked to defer enrollment for a year so as to have an opportunity to undergo “personal development.” But even this would require a severe drop in grades (more than just getting straight Cs) or committing a major crime.
