Hi everyone,
I am currently a rising Senior, and was wondering if anyone would have some recommendations for good graduate schools in Computer Science or Game Design that would fit my (somewhat spotty) credentials.
These are my stats:
-Major: BS Computer Science
-GRE: 156 Verbal, 160 Math
-GPA: 3.777
-Number of withdrawals on transcript: 2 in Discrete Mathematics (later managed to get an A-), and 1 in Calculus II (planning to make this up this year)
-Programming Languages: C++, Java, Python, SQL
-Spoken Languages: English, Chinese, Japanese
-Working Experience: school IT department for 1 year, TA’d for Computer Science I (undergraduate level) for 3 summers, TA’d for Information Fusion (graduate level) for 1 summer, Calculus Instructor at Fordham’s STEP program for high school students
-Research Experience: Scientific Computing at Brookhaven National Laboratory for 1 summer
-Honor Societies: Alpha Sigma Nu
-Awards: Dean’s List (every semester), CSTEP Scholar
-Clubs: Chess Club (president)
I’m looking for schools in cities where I would not have to worry about finding a place to stay like New York City, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Kyoto, or Munich (since I have family/friends who live in these cities). Any kind of feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much
