What happened to all the "B" students?

<p>I'm a B student. I have a 3.5 UW GPA, but I think it will be lower after this semester :D . I have an F in Chemistry and we only have a week left of school. My guidance counselor said I can retake it for a better grade, so that's what I'm going to do.</p>

<p>Solid B/B+ student right here. High school came easy to me, therefore I didn't study for every single exam, but that doesn't mean I lack motivation. I got a 1260 on my SAT the first time which, to me, is average. Ideally I would love to be a physician, and I believe I am driven to do so.</p>

<p>3.2 here, will probably go down this year due to the difficult classes I will be taking this year.</p>

<p>I got a singular 88 (B+) in AP Chem and CC makes me feel like a waste of life with all the threads of, "Do People get into top schools if they get a B?!!!"</p>

<p>And people reply, "MAYBE, NOT LIKELY."</p>

<p><em>bashes skull</em></p>

<p>i did a big project on this for ap psych...
think about it: cc is a pretty selective group of students. they're all overacheivers and have high GPAs. in contrast, the average student in america has a 1600 sat (old scale) and ends up at their local private college.
i remember when i was in 8th grade visiting my local public hs. i was talking to a senior, and he didn't know what SAT IIs were. he also told me he wasn't going to even think about college until he got back his SAT scores.
it was october.</p>
