Do they send you placement tests? info on classes? are there any additional visits to school involved? when does it all usually happen?
Boarding schools usually send placement test information and class selection forms in May. There also will be housing forms, and a bunch of other paperwork over the summer. Classes are chosen over the summer, but there will sometimes be secondary placement tests and drop/add periods during orientation. Placement tests can be pencil and paper or online. There aren’t usually visits to the schools after accepted student days until school starts in the fall. Day schools often have an in person day for placement exams.
