Will you lose all hopes for a successful future, even if you get your GED?
Will you be limited to only working in fast food and manual labor jobs like Burger King?
Will people and society look down on you?
What will happen to you if you drop out of high school and never get your high school diploma?

lies. Despite common misconception, you don’t need to go to college to be successful, nor high school. If you have the determination and intelligence, you will be successful no matter your circumstance. Just because you never completed HS won’t stop your from being a great person in life. This is America, a land of opportunity.

although the link show famous people, and thats a one in a million chance for that. But if your determined to own a mega corp, nothing is gonna stop you.

But anyways… my mom was a first gen (high school grad). She did a bit of college before dropping out. Everyone else in her family pretty much are just rednecks… and although I love them, I don’t want their lives.

^And that list posted is at least a tinge wrong. Chris Rock was born in South Carolina, NOT California. There aren’t many famous people who were born here, but when they are, we know them.

And most of those celebrities dropped out because they already had a career going for them that didn’t require an education.

Give me one success and I can give you a hundred failures.

hmm. well plenty of women drop out and get their Mrs. degree. So, if you are a girl, find a rich guy and drop out (kidding!)

nothing. its perfectly OK to get a GED->Associates->Bachelor OR

GED-> technical degree.

Believe it or not, my friend’s dad makes more money (110,000) as an electrician (he’s a supervisor) than my mom (a psychologist), despite my mom having her PhD while he didn’t finish high school

It’s useless to drop out unless you have an actual emergency. Why would you drop out?

Family emergency/need.
A: Fair enough

Not succeeding
A: It’s HIGH SCHOOL. Unless you have a diagnosed disability, then it is not that hard to graduate from high school. And besides, the only reason you’re not succeeding is because you’re not trying hard enough.

It’s a waste of time.
A: Even basic jobs require a HS diploma. Consider it as ‘a waste of time’ or a ‘golden key’ but it is what it is.

Sure, people succeed without a HS education. But they’re the exception, not the rule.
