What happens if your 150 word essay is 159 words?

I'd get rid of nine words just to be certain. I suppose you could call admissions and ask.

I don't think I can get rid of anymore. I've condensed it so much from 170...

nothing, why the hell would they count? Besides word length varies grossly. I don't even know what to say about this post.

^ That's really harsh. That kind of hurt. You could've said it nicer.

:-(

Send it to me, and let me see if I can cut nine words out.

in the instructions, does it say that going over the limit is fine?
i wouldnt worry about it too much. theyre not gonna be like "omg he has 159 words!? REJECTION!"
so id chill

Isn't there a character limit?

If it fits when you paste the essay in the box, it's probably fine. And nine words over isn't that big a deal.

how about 35 words over?

Dang I'm like 100 words over. Unless the box on the online app cuts it off, I'm pretty sure that it's fine. Unless it's like 300 words over. Then there's maybe a problem.

I think about 170 and under is fine ... I wouldn't go over 180 words.
