What happens on these invite days? Nobody seems to know

I tried posting this question several times, but everyone on this board is either way to hyperactive to answer a simple question, or simply doesn't know.

Once again:

What is the game plan for Saturday/Sunday at the Square? Casual attire or dressy stuff required? How long is it? NYU.edu doesn't seem to know either, or they don't post that information.

Come ON! SOMEBODY has to know! Don't tell me I'm the only one curious, or maybe I'm the only one in the dark. Can somebody enlighten me please?

sorry i have no idea.
but i have a question though (sorry T_T).
is that invite day mandatory? what happens if i don't go?

once again, sorry....................................

i doubt anything will happen if you dont go

so it doesn't really matter if i go or not, right?
i'm probably going,, but just in case...:/

Its in your best interest to go I think, because they give out scholarships, etc. to people on these days, because they figure those are the ones most interested in the program, and are people they want at their school

they give scholarships out on those days? that's wierd... they just toss em about. A scholarship pinata!

hahaha...

yeah it's probably a good idea to go if youre invited. if not, stay at home.

christ, unbelievable nobody knows...
well i live 40 minutes away by train...

gahhh! whats everyone else wearing, ir you're going?? i have to know whether to break out the nice shoes and whatnot!

someone should call NYU to find out........

It's New York. Just wear black.

there is no dress code. Can you imagine a couple of hundred students dressing up in suits?

well i'm from california, so i'll probably look too casual. hmm, i wonder if we can find someone who went to university day last year and ask them...

i seriously hope that not going doesn't mess up scholarship chances. that would be a little unfair... right? i just couldn't arrange getting all the way to new york...

I am sure it will very crowded. I think three schools are having it tomorrow. They will give you information on what dorms freshman live in and possible what freshman courses there are. I would imagine they will urge you to fill out your forms and send your deposit as soon as possible.

I don't think that they are giving scholarships tomorrow, you would have received them in your acceptance package. This is an admitted student day. A chance to look at the school before you decide to go there.

thank you all for your posts. i so wish that scholarship detail were true, however unlikely it seems.

there are no scholarships being given.. NYU is very strict with the money they give out and i dont think there will be free scholarships

Spoke to someone in Admissions re my D.
