In grade 9, my grades were mostly Bs, Cs and some rare Ds. These were above average for my class. IN grade 10, i had all Bs in my midterm, which put me in the top 3-5 in the class according to my teachers. In CIE O level exam, I had all 90+, and a national highest, putting me in top 1-2, again according to my teachers.

IN 11th grade, my midterms had all 80+, but only one 90+. But in CIE AS exam, I ended up with all 95+.

My counselor is mentioning that my school grades are quite high, compared to my classmates, but I don't know how colleges see this type of things.

“My counselor is mentioning that my school grades are quite high, compared to my classmates.”

That is what my post means, that your counsellor will put your grades in perspective, in comparison to rest of your class which is an explanation of your competency level.

I have the same problem!! My teachers refuse to give full marks in class exams as “that’s the job of the examiner on the day of your Leaving Cert” (Leaving Cert. is the national exam at the end of high school). So, I have horrible grades but I’m at the top of each class…

Simply, get your school to send a “school profile” in which they diplomatically convey that they make students life miserable by marking strictly and that a C/70% is intact the best score at the school.
