Have any prospective students received anything substantial from Notre Dame in the mail lately? I'm starting to get nice fat books from other universities trying to coax me into applying, and I just wish Notre Dame would start sending me things like that because I like them. I received some materials on my campus visit, and even though I've filled out interest postcards before, I really haven't gotten anything exciting from ND. I know the things colleges send you in the mail really don't matter, but I like getting them haha

awk i just got one today LOLOLOL

I haven’t gotten anything recently, but I am on the mailing list and have received some mail before. I got a postcard saying nowhere else but notre dame with a url to my own personalized website and I also received a pamphlet.

Same here! ND is my top choice and i havent recieved anything. Where can i join the mailing list?

i got one of those little magazine things that just has a lot of info about the school. other than that, not much.

@indy1234

Oh cool, did u enter your info on the prospective student site in order to get the magazine?

I think when I went for a tour I filled out one of those cards. Also, my regional representative visited my school and she had the info cards then.

Last week we received a pretty substantial booklet from ND. It was roughly 8" by 6", roughly 20 pages printed on thick paper. While the publication was pretty impressive, the information was pretty much a rehash of what we had picked up during our tour.

@rlmdad I also received that booklet. I think it was Friday. Same info as you’d get on tour or can find on website.

@rmldad @Gwashfadzy

I also received that booklet. Although all the information is pretty easily accessible by other means, I was great for me because I am applying EA to Notre Dame without having visited yet. The plan is to head out and visit sometime during the winter if I am accepted.

I got really excited when I got the booklet in the mail, whether I signed up for it or not it was nice to get it

I just love those things! That marketing with booklets really works on me, from any university, but it was special coming from ND.

I never got one from ND I guess it’s a sign

The two kids that I know of who got something from ND have both been minorities (one is Asian and the other is AA). I believe this is part of ND trying to gain more diversity.

Oh I see. I’m an AA as well

I’ve received a brochure on the major I indicated on the application.

A few months ago, I got a hand-written, very personal card from a student in regards to my essay. I thought that was so rare and touching

Oh wow that’s good! Did you apply to get the brochure or?

No, I didn’t sign up for it. Maybe certain departments are more communicative than others…?

Btw, I’ve found that the Internet is much more useful than written mail. There’s a really great prospective student group on FB, and ND’s website is also quite helpful

Oh okay lol. Thank you! I have up Facebook for lent so I’ll check on it on Easter haha. Did you get in to ND?

Lol I meant I gave up Facebook for Lent
