What historical moment or event do you wish you could have witnessed?

first time man went on the moon! Lame and had nothing to do with the rest of my app but oh well

I was mostly the religious type, so I put something I got inspired by Assassin’s Creed.

The Shroud of Turin, due to carbon dating, was theorized that the image was actually not of Jesus’s but of the last of the Templar Grand Masters, Jacques de Molay’s. I said I wanted to attend his execution to see whether this was true.

Tiananmen square: June 4th, 1989.

I put the Battle of Thermopylae. I have a genuine interest in Ancient Greek history, but everyone thinks it’s just because of 300, haha.

The creation of Pokemon.

How I ever got in I’ll never know…

The first ever performance of Bela Bartok’s revolutionary (and BRILLIANT!!!) Concerto for Orchestra. Love that man’s works.

The Big Bang, provided I was immune to its obviously lethal effects.

Fall of the Berlin Wall

The Creation of the Universe.

I seriously thought about putting the big bang (or creation of the universe, or whatever), and I also seriously considered writing about dinosaurs.

mine was:

the last eruption of yellowstone’s supervolcano

also, i have to agree with you silverlego:

The creation of Pokemon. :D

omg, good times

lol creation of Pokemon is awesome!

"Wasn’t Jesus supposed to be immaculately concepted? What would there have been to watch? I wrote that I wanted to be a part of the women’s suffrage movement, and that I wanted to live to shout WE SHALL OVERCOME only a few decades later. "

That’s the question, was it immaculate?

The inauguration of President John F. Kennedy.

To have witnessed that famous speech in person, rather than watching it decades later, would have been an amazing experience.

The building of the Great Pyramids at Giza.

The Cambrian Explosion :)

I couldn’t think of anything very history-ey. Still, if you google image it you come up with… pretty awesome stuff.

does everyone really put the signing of the declaration of independence? that’s what I put :(

FYI the verb is “conceived,” not “concepted”. Hope nobody wrote that on their application!

@TheGFG - I was quoting a previous poster directly

My actual statement can be found in the original post.
