What house do you want to live in?

My first choice was just a single room w/no kitchen (non apartment) that shares a bathroom with just one other room (the rent is $560.00/month instead of $960.00/month which is what the apartments go for). I'm only looking to stay for the first smester/year, which will give me time to get familiar with the Philly area and locate more permanent housing.

I currently live in Sansom Place West. A single room, in a two bedroom apartment (I share a kitchen and a bahroom). For this I pay 590/month. Especially the kitchen is really nice to have. The floor is mixed with both undergraduates and graduate studens.

It is very quiet, and really not very social. But definetely good if you value your private space.

snipanlol...A two-bedroom, single apartment was my second choice. Again, it's fairly reasonable in price. I don't mind sharing an apartment with another person, I'm just grateful each person gets their own room instead of it being a dorm-style layout. I have to start "drawing the line" when three or more rooms share one bathroom. Do my mentioned room preferences fill up quickly, or do I have a reasonable shot at being assigned one? Thanks to all of you for the information...
