This first semester I opted to take physics as opposed to two other choices I had on my list. The only problem is, the class is much more difficult and time consuming than I expected. I’ve consistently held a C in the class since the start of the school year when I’m normally an A-B student. It has caused me to lose focus in my other classes, including Pre-Calc and my AP online class. Normally, I’d be able to hold through it but the teacher is not good at teaching what so everl. Her teaching is comprised of us reading the notes, then us doing problems then taking quizzes and tests straight after. She gives us no help and if we ask for time after class to go over things, she tells us to “go talk to one of your classmates.” I’ve tried to get help many times and this is always the outcome. I want to do well in this class, but I feel like I could spend my time in a class I could actually learn and retain some information. The only other problem would be that I want to go into neuroscience. I know that physics is a class I’m bound to take, but I haven’t really learned anything! What should I do?
It seems like this is a class you should be taking considering your possible major. If you drop the class you will have to notify all the schools you have applied to and let them know of your change in schedule. Is it possible to get a tutor?
