I am a senior and just immigrated one year ago. I am applying for Carnegie Mellon, which requires any applicant whose native language is not English to take TOEFL or IELTS. I am doing Early Decision and I will be noticed by December 15. CMU asks me to send my TOEFL score no later than January 1. Then what if I was accepted but my TOEFL is too low?
Any thoughts, guys?

Each institution has its own way of dealing with this type of situation, so you really need to ask CMU what will happen.

Yea… I thought about that too, but wouldnt it look bad if i ask that question?

“wouldnt it look bad if i ask that question?”

I think it would look worse if the answer or solution was at hand and you blithely and blindly plodded forward. You need the answer. Ask the question. Good luck to you.
