I'm a student from Vietnam but I have studied the past 4 years in Singapore, an English speaking country. I have never done the TOEFL, only SAT and got a score of 600CR 800M 670W. I email CMU yesterday and they said the TOEFL cannot be waived no matter what. So I asked them whether I can do it on Mar 6th and they replied that they do not accept any score later than Jan. But they said they will still consider my application w/o the Toefl. What do you think of my chance? Am I ruined ):

I think it would only be a real problem if your essay and application look as though they’re coming from someone not very fluent in English.

I do think it’s a problem, since your CR is not very high - something above 650 would automatically be a 105+ on a TOEFL test.

^ I concur.
