i got 2020 on the march 10 sat, which was the first one i've taken, but i want to score higher, maybe over 2100, but if i screw up on the second time even worse and get lower than 2020, will that make me look bad? i mean, do i have anything to lose the second time around? or is it all uphill from here

usually, your second score is much more important than your first one, since mostly everyone takes it more than once anyway. it's pretty bad if you score lower, so yeah, you do have something to lose the second time. just make sure you study and check the average SAT scores of the colleges that you want to apply to, and decide from there.

good luck!
