Scoring Lower the Second Time?

I took the March SAT and got a 2100.

670 (CR)
670 (Math)
760 (Writing)

I retook the SAT in May, but I only got a 2040.

630 (CR)
720 (Math)
690 (Writing)

When I retook the SAT, I was mainly hoping to improve my math score, which I did...which is great, but I wanted to AT LEAST get the same score, just better in math, not worse. What does this mean? Will colleges care that I did worse the second time than the first? Or will they just look at my highest score?

bump...anyone?

Look on some of the superscoring threads in this forum to find colleges that superscore--take your highest individual sections--in evaluating applicants. They would take your 670cr, 720m, and 760w for a superscore of 2150.

Yeah! Superscore!

Yeah they'll mainly look at the superscore, but they CAN look at all your scores if they want to see if you improved, though it's very unlikely because they have thousands of applicants to look through.
