What if your High School doesn't offer AP/IB courses?

I live in Canada and I am going to be going to a high school which doesn't have AP/IB courses. I don't know if all Canadian high schools don't have AP courses but does this make it a lot harder to get into good colleges like Stanford/Yale etc?

No, because colleges will see that you couldn't have taken AP/IB classes.

Consider ordering some AP textbooks from www.half.com and self-studying.

See this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=369861 for info on which courses are easily self-studyable.

Also, see this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=201793 for which textbooks to purchase.

Ahhh!! Thank you. This is useful to me too. :P

My Cdn high school only has AP calculus, AP economics and AP french I believe. Very little people take it and the courses arent well advertised by teachers.

Where in canada are you from btw?
